5. Kingston data traveler DT G2 3.0
Kingston data traveller DT is a rugged, plastic plus brushed aluminum infused USB 3.0 flash drive. Weighing at 1.6 ounces Kingston is easy to manage though a little bulky. A removable cap keeps the dust and nasty particles away from the flash drive. We were not impressed by the cap design though, it will stay on pretty well on the front but the chances of losing the cap are pretty high and you are left with a “Bald” USB. You can get it in 16, 32 and 64 GB models that are priced at 33, 57 and 105 dollars. The Kingston can achieve impressive 99 Mbps reading speeds and can churn up to 65 Mbps writing speed.
6. Lexar Jump drive TRITON
Shifting up to big leagues we come across the Lexar JumpDrive TRITON. The JumpDrive aesthetically pleasing, unlike the Kingston it has a “hiding” design i.e. the USB slides into the metal and plastic infused casing. Lexar is offering this 3.0 USB flash drive in 16, 32 and 64 GB models at prices of $ 44, 71 and 132 apiece. Now the best bit, the Lexar can push up to 150 Mbps reading and writing speed which blow pasts our previous options. Although priced heavily, it still remains a good option
7. Patriot Supersonic
Slowly moving on towards the big leagues we stumbled upon the patriot supersonic. The sleek black USB flash drive caught our eyes because unlike previous flash drives it was the least “flashy” one. Rather unlikely. Anyways, we are glad that we saw it; you can have the patriot in 32 and 64 GB models that will cost you around 54$ for the 32 GB model and 72$ for the 64 GB model. That’s not much in our opinion especially considering the speeds the device can achieve. It can read at the speed of around 125 Mbps and write at 85Mbps which is impressive considering the previous options.
8. Sony Micro Vault Mach USB 3.0
It has been over two years since the launch of USB 3.0. Sony Corporation looking at that fact and announced their first USB flash drive which support 3.0 USB technology. Placed in the cruzer series the sandisk extreme delivers whopping speeds at 190 Mbps read and write. The extreme comes in 16, 32 and 64 GB models they cost 65, 102 and 159 Dollars respectively. We can assure the quality will be great, the design features a cap less slid in design which we love because caps get lose all the times. The vibrant colors and a steady built put’s it up as a top contender.
