Slim, Android-powered NEC Medias to be on sale this Summer

By | April 12th, 2011

The latest Android device comes from NEC Japan which has managed to packed loads of awesome specs into a 7.7mm thin device which crowns it the World’s slimmest Android phone.

It runs Android 2.2 (upgradable to 2.3) on an 800 MHz processor. The Medias N-06C boasts a 4 inch, high quality, Gorilla glass touch screen display. It comes equipped with a 5 Megapixel camera that even features a “burst mode”. As is usual with Japanese phones, it supports 1Seg which means it has an inbuilt TV tuner, also it does come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device also offers the convenience of mobile payments over NFC systems.

If being the slimmest Android phone on the market doesn’t quite make it a deal for you, the device is even waterproof and comes in 4 different colors.

Let’s just hope that NEC brings a variant of the device for other markets around the world, but the question is; would you compromise specs over style? [Source]
