I expect that the radiation produced would only be alpha or possibly beta particles. These are blocked by the skin, so couldn’t cause radioactive poisoning. Really neat idea!

Yet there hasn't been any official announcement about the price, However I'm sure it will be affordable to compete in the market. I think it will be a standard battery for laptop 5 years from now! Hence it will become cheap.
