Lenovo outs 1080p Multi-Touch Monitor

Lenovo has announced three new monitors including L246x-Wide that has multitouch support. The model L2461x is 23.6 inch wide screen monitor having a resolution of 1920×1080 (1080p) pixels. The monitor is equipped with latest technical specs but I don’t think you’ll like to use 8 kg screen in you lap. Touch screen and especially multitouch screen works best if you hold them close by. You need to have it in your arms to fully utilize the touchscreen capabilities otherwise there’s no use of purchasing such an expensive monitor. I don’t think that the guy/girl in the image below is comfortable with it:

The LCD monitor is designed for Windows 7 and has a built-in 2 MP camera and microphone for video chat. Besides this it also has capacitive touch buttons and five USB 2.0 ports. Although it looks pretty good, but retail price will tell us whether it’s worth buying or not. No word on price and shelf date so far.
