Dell to Equip Zino HD with a Quad Core Processor

Last year we did a detailed review of Dell Zino HD and it was quite evident that this machine is better than all other nettops and mini PCs. This year, we have another great news; Dell in planning to equip Zino HD with more advanced specs, making it, truly, a desktop replacement. According to sources, the upcoming upgrade will include an optional AMD Phenom II Quad Core processor. If you’re thinking why not Intel? Then you might want to check the price of Intel based mini PCs like LPC 100, AMD is the reason that has kept Zino HD real cheap. Coming back to upgrades, the memory speed has been increased from DDR2 to DRR3 keeping the same maximum limit of 8GB.

Currently, Zino HD comes with an integrated ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics that can be upgraded to ATI Radeon HD 4330 having 512 MB of memory. The new Zino HD 410 will have the option of Mobility Radeon 5450 GPU equipped with 1GB of dedicated graphics memory. Remaining specs include up to 1TB of hard disk (7200 rpm, SATA II), Blu-ray Disc, 7.1 channel audio and WLAN 802.11 b/g/n.
