"It’s size is just 4? x 4.5? x 1.05? which makes it smaller than even a CD!"<br>smaller than a cd eh? I've never seen a cd (let alone a cd case) that's an inch thick

The GMA 500 notably lacks any confirmation for 1080P video support and given Intel's pushing that the GMA 4500HD does in such an obvious manner. The GMA 500 won't support 1080P video files as it has neither the max memory or bandwidth to handle the decoding process. "The Poulsbo Chipset contains a graphics core developed by Imagination Technologies. Intel has licensed the PowerVR SGX as a graphics core and the PowerVR VXD for H.264/MPEG-4 AVC playback. The Video Core is able to process 720p as well as 1080i resolutions." is qouted from the chipset specs on which the GMA 500 is based.

This platform will actually decode all the 1080p HD content fluently. This is because of the onboard GMA 500 which supports hardware decoding of HD content.

I've been looking for a media PC that I can hook into my home stereo and TV (1080p). All my media is on a NAS device in the attic.
This looks like a good option.

Actually it can fully decode HD Media, thanks to the onboard GMA 500 which provides video decoding for all popular HD media. So it can play HD Movies smoothly.
