RIM just opened the new Blackberry Playbook for pre-order in the United States and Canada. This multitasking, 7-inch capacitive touch screen tablet has to face tough competition with the already established iPad and the increasingly popular Samsung Galaxy Tab.
This device features a 1GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. What makes this product really unique is its support for Adobe Flash, which is something the iPad still lacks. This means you get access to richer content on web pages like animations and videos and makes the overall browser experience identical to that on a PC. It also features high speed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support as well as 4G support from network providers. The blackberry playbook offers smooth Video calling and in case you already have a Blackberry, you can access all you data including messages from the Playbook.
Moreover it has dual HD cameras (3MP front + 5 MP rear) a micro USB port and HDMI port outputting 1080p video. There is also support for rich applications and of course, since it comes from the Blackberry family, its oozes sophistication and style!
