Asus G74 Gaming Laptop – Review

Asus has revealed G74, a high end gaming laptop having 17.3 inch full HD display along with 3D support. The G74 laptop packs a Sandy Bridge Quad-Core Core i7  processor (2630QM), Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M card with 3GB DDR5 graphics memory and  12GB of  DDR3 RAM with a support of up to 16 GB.

Furthermore it’s equipped with dual 750GB HDDs at 7,200rpm (making a total of 1.5 TB storage) and and blue ray combo drive. This laptop is as good as it gets with all its features including USB 3.0 socket , illuminous keyboard and 8 cell 5200 mAh battery. Asus also offers a free gaming mouse and a backpack with it. The G74 laptop comes in two variants; G74SX-A1 and G74SX-3DE.

G74SX-3DE has all the basic specs of A1 model with the addition of 3D display screen, Nvidia 3D glasses kit and Blue-ray burner. The G74SX-A1 and G74SX-3DE are priced at $1,745 and 1,979 respectively. Other specs include 8 in 1 card reader, a 2 megapixel web camera, bluetooth, HDMI output and 3 USB 2.0 ports. The laptop weighs a hefty 8 lbs including batteries. Both the models run Windows 7 Home Premium and are expected to hit the shelves at the end of June. Source: ExcaliberPC
