Apple has just annouced the release of their new smartphone, the iPhone 4S that comes with an expected bump in the hardware featuring the A5 dual-core SoC as well as iOS 5 that’ll ship with the package. However the design appears to be the same as iPhone 4 with some tweaking.
The much awaited Apple iPhone 4S has finally been released with some hardware upgrades as expected. The smartphone packs much faster processor (A5), much more battery life with up to 14hours talk time on 2G & 10 hours of video playback. Most importantly, it now supports HSDPA connectivity providing up to 14.4 Mbps of downlink capacity (against 7.2Mbps in iPhone 4). As expected, there are going to be two version for iPhone 4S, CDMA and GSM variants.
The newest iPhone also comes with a 8MP camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels which is 60% more than the previous generation. The backside illumination features much better lightening and color effects creating real-life pictures with the new sensor. Five element lens, face detection & a quick responsive camera functions separates it from the current crowd.
